Pedestrian has remixed and reshaped ‘Mouves’ from its gently sung verses disappearng into clouds of echoey Rhodes chords and floating synths into his own interpretation, keeping in mind the yet subtle layering and progression throughout the track.

Doctor Jeep- Broken Heart (Free Track)

17/12/2011

This track is a bit of a throwback for me, and I don’t think I liked the original when it was released either. Doctor Jeep has turned this into a bit of an R&B groover though, and I’m loving what he’s done with the track.

Stick your headphones in, and melt into it.

As I was writing this I also stumbled upon his Aztec EP, which he’s also giving away for FREE…can’t argue with that!

Sinjin Hawke- The Lights EP

If you’re looking for unreleased tracks that will make your mouth water, then you need look no further than the Boiler Room. Each set I watch seems to contain a few tracks that will have listeners rushing to Youtube or Soundcloud in search of the gem they just heard.

The set Mele dropped is one of the best i’ve heard this year, dare I say I enjoyed it as much as the infamous Pearson Sound/Ben UFO session. The young Liverpudlian worked his way perfectly through  classic house & techno, throwing in some UK garage & grime for good measure.

Anyway, I’m here to tell you about the song that had me joining the Soundcloud scavenge hunt. I would later find out the song in question was ‘Like That’ and it was being released by Pelican Fly on The Lights EP.

The EP dropped on Monday and it was defenitely worth the wait. ‘Like That’ is a huge track with a dark, almost haunting tone running throughout. The next track ‘Crystal Dust’ calls for gold teeth, with its huge euphoric drop it could be confused for something Lunice & Hud Mo have been throwing about…and that is a huge compliment.

The EP is 8 tracks including a perfectly fitting intro/outro and before you buy (which you should be) you can check out the tracks below!

Get Down

06/12/2011

‘Falling Down’ is the unbelievable new single fromSub Focus. Having spent the best part of 2011 destroying huge arenas and festivals alike with his incredible live show, Sub Focus returns to releasing records with an impeccable track that will have clubs across the world churning to his inimitable sound.

Taking the diversity he offered on his self-titled debut album, ‘Falling Down’ sees Sub Focus write an impressively huge dubstep track that’s packed with euphoric electro-house stabs, speaker-worrying bassline combinations and vocals that will stick in your head until long after the last tune of the night has gone.

Totally Enormous Free Download

24/11/2011

So this week heralds the latest release from TEED (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs). From one second offering a dish that incorporates the flavours and textures of Tech House, right through to the next platter presenting the essences and gusto of Future Garage. TEED seems to have Midas’s touch.

Having remixed the likes of Lady Gaga and Katy Perry, this artist is obviously shouting volumes above the rest of his peers. In conjunction he’s had track ‘Trouble’ remixed by summer favourite, Jamie Jones.

His latest release ‘Dream On’ seems to lean more towards the Tech House end of the spectrum, with funky melodies by the barrel load, and if you are yet to be converted, the track is free! And free music is quite literally music to yours and our ears.

On top of this, any adoring fans like myself will also be able to find him playing LIVE at The Other Rooms, Digital on the 7th Febuary.

We thought we’d lost him to the pop scene with Fantasy, but the lyrical mastermind that is Bashy is back.  This time blended by CJ Beatz with the biggest reload tune of the year Source 16 by Redlight.

Bashy is not a only a jack of trades but a master too, excelling in music, fashion and acting, the only thing we’re waiting to see is which one he picks up and runs with.
